Catalog Credits & Attribution Policy
Who made the catalog artwork, the licences that apply, and how to keep the right credits when you share a game.
1. Catalog credits
Game-icons.net selected works
Icons by Delapouite and Lorc. Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC BY 3.0). The original works are available from Game-icons.net.
Modification notice: resized and recoloured for Dreamboard Studio; additional user modifications may be present.
Kenney Board Game Icons 1.1 selected works
Created by Kenney and released under Creative Commons Zero v1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0). Attribution is not required, but Dreamboard credits Kenney and links the official source page.
Modification notice: resized and recoloured for Dreamboard Studio; additional user modifications may be present.
2. Information kept with each work
Dreamboard keeps the title, creator, original source, licence and licence link, required credit, and a notice of Dreamboard’s changes with each third-party catalog work. Remixing a template does not turn third-party artwork into Dreamboard-owned material or remove its licence conditions.
If a licence permits redistribution of an editable version, the same licence and credits must stay with that version. Dreamboard does not add digital-rights restrictions that prevent recipients from using a work in the ways its licence allows.
3. Credits in exports and playtests
When an export or playtest contains artwork that requires attribution, Dreamboard includes the applicable credits in a place suited to the format. Dreamboard will not make an export containing attribution-required catalog artwork available without the required credits.
- Print-and-play and multi-page PDFs include a compact credits page.
- Dreamboard Playtest makes credits available from its game information area rather than printing them on every card.
- Individual image downloads are accompanied by a credits file when attribution is required.
4. What redistributors must do
If you share or redistribute a catalog work or an export containing one:
- keep the accurate creator, source, licence name, and licence link;
- keep the supplied modification notice and add a truthful notice of your own changes where required;
- keep applicable credits with an extracted image or editable artwork;
- do not imply that the creator, source provider, or trademark owner endorses you, your game, or Dreamboard; and
- do not impose DRM or legal/technical restrictions that prevent a recipient exercising the third-party licence rights.
Your original game content is not licensed under CC BY merely because you use a CC BY icon. The third-party licence continues to apply to the licensed work itself; your other material keeps its own rights.
5. Corrections and rights concerns
Report an incorrect credit, broken licence link, disputed creator or source information, or other rights concern through the IP & Takedown Policy at legal@dreamboard.games. Dreamboard may disable a catalog work or affected export while it investigates.
